Frequently asked questions
How many Blockchain investment firms are on RaiseHunt?
RaiseHunt lists 221 Blockchain investment firms.
How many of them have a known portfolio?
211 of the 221 firms list at least one portfolio company, 1,690 known investments between them.
Who can I reach at these firms?
453 people working at them have a profile here, each with their role at the firm and whether an email address is on file.
Where are most Blockchain investment firms based?
The largest concentrations are in Singapore, New York and San Francisco.
What rounds do Blockchain investment firms take part in?
Most list Seed and Series A among their stages.
How do I contact Blockchain investment firms?
Every firm page shows whether an email address is on file, and the named contacts at that firm. The addresses themselves, along with AI matching and outreach, are in the RaiseHunt app.
Is the list of Blockchain investment firms free to browse?
Yes. The directory and every firm page are free to read. Matching your own startup against them requires an account.
Do Blockchain funds only back Blockchain companies?
No. A focus area is a signal of interest, not a restriction. Firms usually list several, and the useful question is whether the existing portfolio looks like the kind of company you are building.
Does a warm introduction still matter with a fund?
It helps, mostly because it moves your email out of a crowded inbox. It is not a requirement. A cold message that shows you understand what the firm has already backed, and why your company fits that pattern, gets read more often than a vague introduction from a distant contact.
How does a decision get made inside a firm?
Usually by a group rather than by the person you first spoke to. One partner sponsors the deal internally and takes it to the rest, which is why the process runs longer than an angel conversation and why a single enthusiastic meeting is not yet a commitment.
Does the location of a firm matter?
Less than it used to. Plenty of firms back companies outside their own city, and remote first meetings are normal. Being nearby helps with introductions and later conversations, but it is rarely the thing that decides an investment.
What if no firm on this list replies?
Usually the list was too short or too loosely matched, not that the company is unfundable. Widen it, tighten who you are writing to, and rewrite the first two lines of the message. Those lines decide whether anything below them gets read.
What is the difference between raising from a firm and raising from an angel?
An angel invests their own money and can decide alone, which usually makes the process shorter. A firm invests money it raised from other people, so it answers to those backers and normally runs a longer diligence process before it commits. Founders often raise from angels first and bring in a firm once there is more to show.
