Often, though it depends on the investor. Some funds have a mandate limited to one country or region, and some tax structures make cross-border cheques harder. It is worth asking early rather than discovering the constraint after several meetings.

Build a long list, sort it by how well each one matches what you are building, and work down it in batches rather than sending everything at once.
